Georgia Youngs

Founder & Head Trainer

I’ve been passionate about dogs for as long as I can remember. I got my first dog when I was just 10 years old!

After leaving school, I didn’t immediately pursue dog training and instead built a career as a beautician.

Everything changed when I got Willow, my first adult dog. She was reactive and nervous, but working with her ignited a love for dog training like nothing else. Helping her transform gave me the confidence and drive to follow this path professionally.

I was fortunate to join a mentorship program, where I developed the skills, techniques, and experience needed to support other dogs and their owners.

Today, I combine that hands-on experience with a genuine love for dogs to provide bespoke, effective, and compassionate training through Tillow K9 Academy.

Willow

Training Assistant

Willow was my first dog as an adult, and I went into puppyhood thinking I knew exactly what I was doing. Like many people, I didn’t fully research the breed mix I was bringing home. I chose a Cockapoo because I imagined Willow would be a low-maintenance, easygoing companion the perfect salon dog for my life as a beautician. I couldn’t have been more wrong!

As she grew, Willow developed reactivity toward other dogs entering her personal space and was easily spooked sometimes even trying to bolt for home if another dog rushed her. I felt lost and overwhelmed; this wasn’t the calm, carefree life with a dog I had envisioned, and walks became a source of stress rather than joy.

Everything changed when I discovered a training system that taught me how to truly understand and communicate with her. With patience, consistency, and a lot of hard work, my once anxious and reactive pup has blossomed into a well-balanced, confident dog who can calmly handle situations that used to terrify her.

Today, Willow is living her best life, we enjoy our adventures together without stress, something I once thought impossible. Even better, she now helps other dogs who struggle as she once did, working as a steady, reliable stooge dog. I couldn’t be prouder of the journey she’s taken and the incredible partner she’s become.

Belle

Trainee Assistant

Belle is the newest member of our team, and she’s already brimming with personality and a spark of playful determination. With her lively, ‘spicy’ energy, she’s quickly becoming a favorite around here. We’re excited to guide Belle through gundog training and advanced obedience work, with the long-term goal of developing her into a confident, dependable stooge dog a calm, skilled companion who can assist your dog on their training journey. Though she’s still young, Belle shows incredible promise, and we can’t wait to see her talents blossom as she grows into her role.

Tess

Supervisor from the sky

Tess was my very first dog, and she’ll always hold a special place in my heart. As a young girl, I was completely obsessed with dogs. I’d spend hours playing with them, walking them, and looking after family and friends’ pets whenever I could. For years I begged my parents for a dog of my own, and eventually they agreed… on one condition: I had to pay for her myself. Determined, ten-year-old me saved every penny until I could finally bring Tess home (dogs were a little less expensive back then!).

Tess quickly became the apple of my eye. She came everywhere with me. To playdates, caravan holidays, even when I eventually moved. We were inseparable. She was also my little trick star; we spent countless hours learning party tricks just for fun: beg, roll over, play dead, spin. She had the sweetest soul and an endless willingness to make me smile.

Tess grew up right alongside me, from childhood through my teenage years and into adulthood, and she stayed by my side until the grand age of 15. She sparked my lifelong passion for dogs and training, and I will always be grateful for the joy, lessons, and love she brought into my life.
